Mission
The Adventist Medical Evangelism Network (AMEN) exists to motivate, train, and equip Seventh-day Adventist physicians and dentists to become effective medical evangelists who will unite with lay people, pastors and church administration in taking the “everlasting gospel” (Rev 14:6-12) to the entire world in these last hours of earth’s history.
Vision
We envision the training of thousands of Seventh-day Adventist physicians and dentists to be effective medical evangelists. These committed, motivated, and consecrated Adventist physicians and dentists will model Christ’s methods of loving service through the ministry of healing which will naturally open hearts to the gospel and the truths of the Bible. AMEN will help cultivate the following essential qualities in each of these physician/dentist evangelists:
- The deep conviction that the healing ministry is a calling from God for His service.
- The belief that the great commission is the privilege and responsibility of every Christian physician/dentist. Therefore each physician/dentist should model their practice after the loving ministry of Jesus.
- An individual integrity which includes a living personal faith, a healthy, temperate lifestyle, and a Christian commitment in the family.
- A familiarity with and desire to follow the divine counsels on medical ministry given in the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy.
- A knowledge and application of practical approaches for spiritual ministry and evangelism in the clinical setting.
Objectives
The following objectives will promote the vision of developing effective physician/dentist medical missionary evangelists:
- Create a society perpetually dedicated and exclusively focused on the above mission
- Hold annual national conferences which will include the following features:
- Inspirational messages to encourage medical evangelism
- Workshops to train medical evangelists
- Seminars to examine the prophetic principles and guidelines of medical evangelism
- Testimonials of effective physician/dentist evangelism
